About us
Park Road Under Fives Pre-school is a Community Interest Group and registered charity; managed by a voluntary board of trustee's and was opened in 1985. We operate from the Park Road Methodist Church hall in St Leonards-on-sea East Sussex.
We have sole use of the spacious open plan hall during our open hours and the use of a smaller room for nurture groups, singing and story time . The children also have access to an enclosed courtyard garden for outdoor play. We make full use of our local community as we are situated within easy walking distance to shops, schools and Alexandra park.
We are registered to care for children aged 2 - 4 years. Our maximum of children per session is currently 32 children.
We currently work to a ratio of 1:6 for over threes and 1:4 for under threes
Session times
We are open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 am to 3.00 pm during term time (38 weeks of the year). Our sessions are 9 - 12.00 and 12.00 to 3 pm. We sit down for lunch at 11.30 am so children in the morning session will need to bring a packed lunch.
Early Years Education Entitlement
All children are entitled to 15 hours of free Early Years Education from the term after they turn 3 years. Additionally, we can offer 2 year funding for children if your family meets the criteria.
Pre-school Fees
Non funded sessions are charged at £12 per session (morning or afternoon) or £24 per day (9 am to 3 pm)
